Radiation Exposure Survey

Radiation exposure survey from the University of Illinois at Chicago.

By Mladen Vidovich, MD,  Department of Cardiology, University of Illinois at Chicago

Dear Colleagues,

We are undertaking a global study evaluating radiation safety practices during percutaneous coronary interventions at various institutions all over the world. My goal is to assess whether there are differences in radiation safety training and practice amongst practicing interventional cardiologists in different regions of the world, and whether or not this is linked to a multitude of other factors (such as radial vs. femoral access). Attached is a quick survey designed to address these questions. It should only take 5-10 minutes to complete.

Your participation is voluntary. No identifying information, including your name or email address, will be given to anyone out of the study. Confidentiality will be maintained to the degree permitted by the technology used. It is the hope of the research team that these data will lead to better care towards the patient and clinician; it is our hope that these data foster a safer environment for those clinicians, especially interventional cardiologists, who choose to spend the majority of their careers exposed to a significant amount of radiation on a daily basis.

Please help in filling out the survey by clicking on the link below, filling out the form, and clicking submit. Thank you very much for your participation.
